isLamp 1.1

Download the theme here, and view the demo site here.

After WPsnap.com reviewed isLamp 1.0, I realized that I should probably fix it up a bit and make it more compatible for more browsers. WPsnap modified two files and sent them to me, so I could update the theme. I made isLamp compatible in all browsers except IE, where it doesn’t put the sidebar where it is supposed to be, and Opera, where it doesn’t put a margin at the bottom between the footer and bottom navigation. Other that, it is compatible. Thanks to WPsnap, also.

Like before, the theme includes a options page (/wp-admin/themes.php?page=functions.php), where you can edit the paragraphs at the top, along with the headers, and your Twitter ID, showing your Twitter status.

To install, download the .zip, extract the folder islamp, and place it in your theme directory (wp-content/themes). Goto your presentation page, and activate.

Again, as with all themes, let me know if you have any problems installing, modifying, or using the theme. Thanks!

Please email c at aslamp.com for anything help, instead of leaving comments… I tend to forget to check those… =]

le-u.com

If anyone wants to use one of them, contact me to begin the process

Today, I bought le-u.com. Now this maybe seem quite odd, as you can not think of anything off the top of your head to which le-u pertains. What you haven’t realized is that I can make all of the following domains:

  • sing.le-u.com
  • doub.le-u.com
  • trip.le-u.com
  • quadrup.le-u.com
  • quintup.le-u.com
  • sextup.le-u.com
  • septup.le-u.com
  • octup.le-u.com
  • etc…

doub.le-u.com

The sextuple-u refers to WWW, standing for World Wide Web.

Balance: Coming soon…

I’ll be modifying and releasing my own tweak to the WordPress theme Balance (the current one). It’s a really nice one, well commented and filed. Hopefully it will have a sidebar of some sort, instead of the top, falling navigation it has now.

Laid in your hands

Capital

After taking the “Presidential Matchmaker” quiz on facebook, made by Change.org, I realized that a lot of the politians of the 2008 Presidental Election believe in a few causes: Abortion, Immorality of drug use, the Death Pentalty, and such topics discussing the morality of actions.

The government has reached a point where it must decide whether it is to become an active and completely controlling government, prosecuting those that “kill” their babies by abortion (if that is what they decide it is), use illegal drugs, and research “non-ethical,” scientific topics. Or: A passive government, that lets the citizens choose what is moral, and lets them suffer for their actions where they should: The conscience, and be judged by God, not by other people.

Personally, I prefer the latter, because it gives the population a chance to become smarter and realize what they are doing, instead of being told what to do, what not to, and how to live. I believe that each person knows what they want, what they need, and what they should do, however long it takes to realize.

The path of the American government will depend upon who speaks, who writes, and who votes. What will you do?

Save Darfur?

This post is not meant to offend anyone donating to or supporting the Darfur cause, as it is a good and good-meaning program, including Femtique =].

darfur

I have seen a lot of the “Save Darfur” campaign advertisements and fund-raisers going around the web, TV, and even newspaper. Does anyone really know where Darfur is? Luckily, I did my research before posting that lone question (thanksĀ  to wikipedia), and apparently, it is in the western region of Sudan, in Africa. I’m not sure how many people know this, but: There are a lot of problems in our own country (assuming that your living in America, but if not, I’m sure your country has something that could be better?) that could easily be fixed if the population donated lots of money, just as they have for the Darfur campaign.

Public schools, for instance, could be a lot better than what they are currently. There is probably some statistic somewhere that will prove that the percent of adults that cannot read is unreasonably high, but I’m sure you can find that yourself.

I’m not saying that everyone should stop paying attention to global events, I think it’s awesome, I just wish that people would see the problems in their own country [and fix them], before attempting to fix another’s.

Matthew 7:2-5

Whatever measure you use in judging others, it will be used to measure how you are judged. And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log from your own eye; then perhaps you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.

Sin to offend?

Sin

Last night, I was lying in bed, not being able to fall asleep, with boxers and a shirt on. Instinctively, I pulled the blanket over my bares legs, not because they were cold, simply because they were bare.

That got me thinking: In the garden of Eden, after the humans became afraid to show themselves to God, they covered themselves up with leaves.

So, is it a sin to be naked and have someone else be offended by it? Or is it a sin to be offended by it?
