GPS tracking technology is amazing. The other day I saw a product that would always point you to one spot on the earth, chosen at your convenience. Now, I don’t really know what I would use it for, but I want one.
One thing that kinda scares me with this security demanding government is that eventually everyone will be monitored and controlled for the benefit of all. Everyone will have GPS tracking devices and RFID chips in them telling officials everything about you without your consent. I really hope it doesn’t come to that, and I will protest it all the way.
The potential in this technology is great, but don’t let it be mandated, don’t let it be forced upon you. Take the power back and show that this is not needed or wanted.
I had this problem when I restarted Firefox today. An AT&T ad takes up 90% of the screen and pushes my actual Gmail down to where it is unusable. It only happens when the “New version” is enabled. Screw AT&T, all phone companies, and their monopolies.
I hope something gets this fixed soon…
EDIT: It is now fixed… I’m not entirely sure how. I don’t believe it was related to anything I did.
It seems its been over a hundred days since my last post, and I apollogize for that… I’ve been busy with quite a lot of things, from starting to play World of Warcraft, to Dagorhir stuff, through a relationship (both entering and leaving), and of course, all things related to school. I’ll being trying to write more, now that I’m not as busy, and I have a computer in my room, after recieving 1GB of RAM, and a wireless ethernet adapter =].
My current project is a number of essays I plan to assemble to ressemble a book of sorts. All will be about the current “flaws” of Carroll High School, as I see quite a few. I will try to be as modest and understanding as possible, displaying both the student’s and the administrator’s point of view (if possible).
Meanwhile, elsewhere on my server, over at adjacentreality.com, I’ve given Noga author privledges. So be watching out for new posts over there. Both of us will try to keep a conversation between each other’s posts, which should be most interesting.
That’s all for now, hopefully you’ll hearing from me shortly about one of a number of things.
Over this past weekend, I switched over from my Unbalanced theme that I had been working on, to Gridlock 1.4 by hyalineskies. It uses sIFR to render most of the headers, which makes them look fantastic. I added six of the “Secondary Features” to display the latest in each of the most popular categories.
I also cleaned up the categories so I now have eight stable cores, instead of the 20-some I had a week ago… I’m still trying to decide if I should make sub-categories.
When aslamp changed styles, I decided to drop my support of Internet Explorer all together. They get a message telling them to go to browsehappy.com, where they can download any browser except IE. They can, however, still read articles through the feeds, so they aren’t completely isolated from aslamp =].
That’s right, 50. Pretty sweet… It’s been goin’ up farely rapidly lately, thanks to my new (and old) themes. Hopefully it’ll raise those of you that are on my blogroll. If you’re not, contact me, and I’ll stick you up there, if you do the same for me.
And, yeah, my Google Page Rank is still 1. I have no idea how that works…
I’ll be modifying and releasing my own tweak to the WordPress theme Balance (the current one). It’s a really nice one, well commented and filed. Hopefully it will have a sidebar of some sort, instead of the top, falling navigation it has now.
