Attacking Nouns
Apparently, within the last 50 years, it has become somewhat popular to declare war on nouns. And more specifically, ideas. Not persons, objects, or places, but ideas. In 1964, during his State of the Union, Lyndon B. Johnson declared, “War on Poverty.” In 2001, recently after the 9/11 “attacks” on the twin towers, George W. Bush declared, “War on Terrorism.” Neither of these topics will end, ever. They are a part of our world as we know it. In order to have good, evil must exist. In order to have rich, poor much exist. And as time passes, each increases to an extremity, the good getting better, evil getting worse, the rich getting richer, and the poor getting more poor. But! There is hope! In my new world order! Anyone wishing to donate $1,000,000 to my cause? =D
