About

I’m a transcendentalist, and I try to be opened minded all the time, except when it comes to ignorance. I try to treat people the way they treat me, if not better. I love trying to understand things, even if my mind cannot start to comprehend it. Dimensional theories are my strong point, catch me on a good day and we’ll have a deep conversation. I’ve been known for that =]. I love Orson Scott Card’s Ender’s Game series. I’m just finished up the Shadow series: Awesome, and comparable to the Ender series.

I’m an undergraduate at Carroll High School. For those of you that don’t know where that is, you won’t find out, because there are about 100 listings of said school in America. For anyone actually local to Royville [my current location], you should know who I am [hopefully].

My passion is coding of all sorts, and is what I’m majoring in (in high school as of now). I own aslamp.com (this site), fwanti-virus.com (my band’s site), and my local Dagorhir chapter’s legionofthedragoons.com, and now le-u.com. One of which (aslamp.com) is constantly being updated because I get very bored, very easily. The other–fwanti-virus.com–is a work in progress, because our band is trying to work on writing songs and albums, not publicly advertising ourselves.

In my band, I play guitar and sing (well might I add), whilemy friend plays the drums. We have another guitarist, but we haven’t really gotten together with him recently to practice. If you live in the Royville area and are looking to play (and are decent), hit us up somehow.

aslamp.com

Aslamp was originally formed because of a graphic need on the IRC chat and xbox2xbox connector, XBC. I designed banners and avatars for anyone who wanted them. That started off my graphic career. I eventually installed phpBB on the server and used that for people to request their graphics. I then did some web-related work, designing banners for sites and signatures for forums and such. At one point in time, ASLamp Studios, or A Singing Lamp Productions had quite a few members who kept the forums alive daily. Eventually [due to my interest in other things] the forum died. About a year ago, I decided to transform aslamp into a blog, assuming that no one would miss it. I was right, and it continues to be a personal blog for some of my close friends and myself.

The name “aslamp” itself came from a Halo 2 nickname that I chose by partial random. When I killed someone, it would display, “You were killed by a singing lamp.” I found it rather hilarious, and it just stuck. It got shortened down to a s[inging] lamp, because most people were confused of the “singing” part. Now the majority [unless you're reading this] assumes it’s simply a random name, which I don’t have a problem with, because a part of me is ashamed of my nerdful past.
