LOL! Sometimes Thomas, you suprise me. This is a blog of sorts. If you expect to make your feelings public, expect criticism.

You can be so narrow-minded. I was under the impression that you wanted people’s opinions here. I thought you had changed. Obviously I’m incorrect. You’re looking for a sugared-up version of life. Unfortunately, that doesn’t exist.

Your narrow-mindedness has shut you up in a little cage. You refuse to acknowledge anything outside of it. You refuse to look at radical opinions, or anyother opinions at all for that matter besiders your own, and anything else beyond your comfort zone.

You would not have to defend yourself if you wouldn’t get things right the first time. Humans make mistakes. I make mistakes. But you do things without thinking them through.

There are a lot of people who would argue that. They’re are lots of people who admire the truth - true scholars that they are. They aren’t afraid to face the facts.

The truth is not cold. I am not so weak as to say that ignorance is the better choice. No, I’m alert and unwavering. I will stand by the truth, even if I’m the only one standing.

I don’t lack social skills. I have tons of friends, and they all enjoy my presence. I actually get along quite well with loads of different types of people too. I like kids, teens, adults, the elderly. They’re all so interesting, because they each have a different story.

truth is brutal. but that’s what faith is for. faith is believing on something no matter what the truth is. Because sometimes the truth is just an opinion from a person. And I agree that you are entitled to your opinion, but truth is not always the best thing to know. And knowing the truth doesn’t mean you are better than another person

Truth is faith, they’re one and the same. And truth can’t be an opinion, otherwise it wouldn’t be truth. Truth is not always brutal either, especially not when you come to accept it. Truth is good, because truth is faith. Have faith in truth, and you’re good to go!

truth and faith is almost similar, you can’t believe on everything you read somewhere.

Lots of truth is scientific. It can be proven. I don’t believe something as soon as I read it. I’m not a complete moron. Instead I do extensive research. If lots of facts, data, evidence, etc. coincide, I consider it.

No, no, that wasn’t the whole. Truth is not simple. There are technical vetoes and what not that change things.

Like for example, if a ton of people tell me that Britain doesn’t exist, then I would probably consider that truth for the time being, but if I go to Britain and see it, I would veto what I had heard, and consider Britain truth.

You made good points (sorry - dinner). Truth is always changing, but what is there to live for if we don’t believe in something. And some truths don’t change. But some do as well. That’s where the individual has to decide what they believe - faith. But since you’ll never know, that makes no difference then, so truth is faith.

Sigh… here we go again. Truth is not an opinion. An opinion is a point of view. There is no perspective in truth - its fact - it’s objective. It’s there or it’s not, we just don’t know, and that doesn’t make it opinion, because it still doens’t have perspective.

Your perspective of truth doesn’t change what truth is. If I say the sky is orange, even though it’s blue, that doesn’t change it to orange. You are trying to change fact with your opinion - doesn’t work that way.

We don’t know whether something is true or not (excepting we’ve seen it ourselves), so we can’t decide. The truth never changes, the only thing that changes is what we consider truth, and just because we consider something truth, that does not make it truth. Unfortunately for Truth_Faith here, he/she/it has yet to grasp that truth does not change, just because there may be more than one truth, it still will not change. And because Truth_Faith still won’t understand after this explanation, I will state it again: Truth doesn’t change, it’s just what we consider truth that changes, and just because we consider something true, that does not make it true. I have a lot better ways to spend my time than conversing and learning nothing, so this will be my last entry. I’m ashamed of myself for how much time I’ve wasted on this today.

david, use common sense what you think is right, right now you think is the truth. But maybe next year someone else will find something that will change that truth. Then that means that it was the truth and then it changes.

The truth doesn’t change. In your example, the new evidence would prove that we “considered” truth was incorrect. Just because we “consider” something truth, that does not make it truth. Example:

We used to consider our solar system geocentric. New evidence then proved that it is was in fact photocentric. So we had “considered” our solar system as geocentric, but that was not the truth. It was photocentric.

The truth never changed there. It had always been photocentric. What changed was what we considered truth, geocentric to photocentric.

Truth does not live, it is abstract. It’s nonmaterial, and therefore nonliving.

Well that example proves your point, so I’d be wanting that if I were you, but I’m not you so anyway…

We can try to comprehend the truth, but just because we aren’t successful in doing so doesn’t mean that we aren’t trying. I mean, for example (sorry, I know you hate examples, but it’s an easy way to prove points) is what we’re doing right now. We are defining truth, which is finding the truth in the truth. So perhaps even if we aren’t successful, we most certainly are trying to understand it.

Everyone is jelous;; No matter what. I can honestly say that there will always be something that someone else has that I want. It seems like everyone speaks just to talk. Everyone wants to be right and even if they know they arent right they keep defending themselves because they are afraid of failure. How many people do you know that would rather argue for something they knew wasnt right just so they wouldnt have to back down. I feel like im surrounded by a generation of sugar eating monsters that only care about themselves and supersweet 16s. The thought of reading the news paper or watching the news has never crossed their blank corrupted minds. Look into a teens eyes and you see nothing but a blank sheet, their eyes are open but they cant see anything. I almost think its cute when i try to have a decent conversation and all i get is a smile and a “did you hear about chelsea and chris”. wow that is cute.I love people who talk crap. people do it to do it. it makes them smile. people never cease to surprise me. they can actually lie to someone to create a story worth talking about for 2 hours. and forget everything they said. they spend all that time and effort into creating this magical story about whatever they want and the next day they are willing to defend it. wow thats extra cute. if you can notice anything about life notice that people will NEVER accept being wrong;; and will lie about ANYTHING if it means the spotlight for any amount of time.
