What are you? … [human]

Humans are funny creatures.
Always wanting to know the things they will never understand.
Always hiding what they truly want in life, or maybe, not even knowing what they truly want in life because they are influenced by others who are trying to shut off the part of the mind that can access things they couldn’t even imagine.
Never wanting someone to get too close for fear it will destroy the very fiber of our being.
Never wanting to admit they have a weakness.
Always hurting.
Always makes mistakes.
Never settling for less than best.
Always being selfish and self-absorbed.
Always doing before thinking.
Never taking shit without defending themselves.
Always jealous [even though they're self-absorbed].
Always wanting the next person to stop talking so they have a chance to hear themselves speak again.
Always taking chances.
Always thinks they are the one truly unique person.
Never truly listening to someone.
Never showing how they truly feel.
Always wanting to find someone who feels, hears, sees, and understands things just like they do.
Never wanting to give up on knowing everything.
Wanting to be the equivalent to god.

So true… How the heck is our speicies still alive… I swear we are going to be the death of ourselves…

It’s called curiosity, and wanting to be the best you can be. I don’t see how defending yourself is bad. That makes it sound like you’re saying we should just go around letting people beat us down every which way. If you want to be the equivalent of God, you’re a moron. That’s all.

I think you should seriously consider that it is just you.

OK, David, right? Well a little news for you. I didn’t write this, Brooke (Somber-Star, I_Am_Rad) did. And since she isn’t here to start ranting on you, I will. I’ll admit that you are pretty smart, but the more important factor is how you use it. I use my intelligence to let people know what I am thinking, to help them understand, and hopefully let them expand on that thought, and realize something for themselves. I DON’T simply sit back a critize and point out every mistake that other people make. We’re all human, we all make mistakes. This is yours and I am letting you know about it this once, so you are very much aware. I was going to just private messge you this, so you didn’t feel embarrised in public, but I don’t feel that sympathic right now. Keep in mind that isn’t isn’t just a reply to this post, but to all of your little “comments.” I apprciate them, but I’m really getting tired of having to defend myself everytime you bring out an error. Please just try to be more supportive of other people, and willing to admit that other people, besides you, can be right. Counterexamples aren’t the only form of communication you know.

LOL! Sometimes Thomas, you suprise me. This is a blog of sorts. If you expect to make your feelings public, expect criticism.

You can be so narrow-minded. I was under the impression that you wanted people’s opinions here. I thought you had changed. Obviously I’m incorrect. You’re looking for a sugared-up version of life. Unfortunately, that doesn’t exist.

Your narrow-mindedness has shut you up in a little cage. You refuse to acknowledge anything outside of it. You refuse to look at radical opinions, or anyother opinions at all for that matter besiders your own, and anything else beyond your comfort zone.

You would not have to defend yourself if you wouldn’t get things right the first time. Humans make mistakes. I make mistakes. But you do things without thinking them through.

I speak the truth. If you don’t want the truth, I suggest you put it on your welcome paragraph.

    I’m supportive of the truth.

You are frightened of the truth, and that’s not going to get you anywhere. You’re living a lie. You deny what you know is true.

And, yes, I’m David. I hope you’re happy.

And Brooke, I don’t know you, but I apologize if I offended you.

  8. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/3:07:09 pm

Oh, and if you’re trying to publicly embarrass me, try harder next time, because, frankly, that was pathetic. That’s the TRUTH.

    Jan. 3/2007/3:13:34 pm

I will consider anything you put to me. But pure contradictions of anything that is said is not tolerated. I’m not telling you to say “wow, that is really cool, good job! feel good about your self!” I’m just telling you to not be as brutal and cold-hearted as you are. It seems all you do is make people feel less of themselves. Have fun getting through life like that. It’ll be fun to watch you attempt to create any form of relationship by telling them the cold “truth” that you speak of. Be merciful you jerk. And don’t let yourself forget that you are too indeed human. And one with horrible social skills at that.

  10. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/3:28:01 pm

There are a lot of people who would argue that. They’re are lots of people who admire the truth - true scholars that they are. They aren’t afraid to face the facts.

The truth is not cold. I am not so weak as to say that ignorance is the better choice. No, I’m alert and unwavering. I will stand by the truth, even if I’m the only one standing.

If I am such a jerk, why is it that I became ASPL, and you didn’t? You made it personal at the start, and now the joke’s on you.

You don’t realize that you’re on the wrong side. Not that I particularily want you on my side, although I do pity you.

I love life, and I’d hate to lose it. I know that there are still more things to be done.

Sometimes the truth is brutal, but need not blame me for that. It’s God who made the truth. Defy the truth, and you’re defying God. God made the truth for a reason, and I trust in him, I trust in the truth.

People understand that. It’s just you Thomas (not literally). You’re stuck in your little bubble.

I don’t lack social skills. I have tons of friends, and they all enjoy my presence. I actually get along quite well with loads of different types of people too. I like kids, teens, adults, the elderly. They’re all so interesting, because they each have a different story.

    I pity you.

    Jan. 3/2007/3:50:23 pm

Wooooooooooooh I am not Thomas… I am Chris, and I simply asked him who you were. I am not trying to show that I am better than you! It may very well be that you are (atleast you think it) and I don’t care, as long as you don’t try to rub it in my face. Please just try to understand that I believe that your comments have an attitude of superoity to everyone else’s opinion. That’s what annoys me. Please just try to help everyone else by giving suggestions and showing them the way to the truth, and not demanding that the believe it. Thank you.

  12. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/3:56:17 pm

Sorry Chris. Didn’t know that it was you. It sounded like Thomas, because you recognized me as David before, so I figured it was him. Sorry again. None of those comments were meant to be directed toward you. Sorry, sorry…

  13. truth_faith

    Jan. 3/2007/3:57:46 pm

truth is brutal. but that’s what faith is for. faith is believing on something no matter what the truth is. Because sometimes the truth is just an opinion from a person. And I agree that you are entitled to your opinion, but truth is not always the best thing to know. And knowing the truth doesn’t mean you are better than another person

  14. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/4:01:07 pm

  18. miztrmason

  20. Lamp

    Jan. 3/2007/4:12:24 pm

What?! Hmm he shall pay for that… He does semi-own a page /thomas which contains his “pictures” and other stuff he wants to put there… But beyond that is mine. I let a few of my friends write posts once and a while, but yes, the majority of them are of me.

  21. Lamp

    Jan. 3/2007/4:13:33 pm

    Umm I must have overlooked that… Sorry…

  22. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/4:14:54 pm

Truth is faith, they’re one and the same. And truth can’t be an opinion, otherwise it wouldn’t be truth. Truth is not always brutal either, especially not when you come to accept it. Truth is good, because truth is faith. Have faith in truth, and you’re good to go!

Oh, and I never said I was better than anyone.

  23. truth_faith

    Jan. 3/2007/4:16:26 pm

truth comes from where people who wrote book? its just that person’s opinion and that doesn’t mean his opinion is right

  24. Lamp

    lol. Very true. Thank you.

  25. truth_faith

truth and faith is almost similar, you can’t believe on everything you read somewhere.

  26. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/4:20:46 pm

Lots of truth is scientific. It can be proven. I don’t believe something as soon as I read it. I’m not a complete moron. Instead I do extensive research. If lots of facts, data, evidence, etc. coincide, I consider it.

  27. Lamp

    Jan. 3/2007/4:21:19 pm

There is no truth. What everyone thinks is their beliefs. The truth always exists, we just never know what it is. And probably never will Like we could tell anyways].

    Jan. 3/2007/4:21:46 pm

May I ask who Truth_Faith is?

  29. truth_faith

    Jan. 3/2007/4:22:52 pm

but that is still a persons opinion he thinks something is right , it doesn’t mean it is right. well do this research: for every truth there is always someone else’s contradiction to it

  30. truth_faith

    Jan. 3/2007/4:23:51 pm

    right chris or thomas?

  31. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/4:26:16 pm

But when a huge number of people all get the same conclusion, you have to consider it. Like for example: I can say that there is a tree out my window. A lot of people will confirm that. You don’t just go and say that that is not truth.

  32. Lamp

    Jan. 3/2007/4:27:41 pm

Chris: yes that is “true” lol

  33. truth_faith

    Jan. 3/2007/4:27:45 pm

truth or faith is not thomas or chris. whats important is that im just a concerned individual voicing his opinion, it doesn’t mean my opinion is the truth is just what i think is right

  34. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/4:29:01 pm

Well I trust Lamp (or at least as well as you can trust someone from a blog, not to mean any offense, but you know the internet) that he is Chris, so Truth_Faith is probably Thomas.

  35. truth_faith

    Jan. 3/2007/4:29:31 pm

even though the tree is the truth i may not believe it, can you prove it to me right now

  36. truth_faith

    Jan. 3/2007/4:30:17 pm

i repeat i am not thomas or chris

  37. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/4:32:40 pm

Well you would be wrong not to believe it. Because considering the scenario, that dozens of people varify it.

  38. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/4:33:37 pm

And yes I can prove it. I have a digital camera, and am more than willing to hook it up to my computer, take the picture, and send it to your e-mail address.

  39. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/4:34:08 pm

Just give me an e-mail address and I will of course oblige.

  40. truth_faith

    Jan. 3/2007/4:34:45 pm

how do i know that, that is your house

  41. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/4:35:01 pm

If you’re not Chris or Thomas, I don’t really have any guesses who you are.

  42. truth_faith

    Jan. 3/2007/4:35:38 pm

and if i belive that, that is not your house i will make lots of people believe me and that is according to you truth

  43. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/4:36:29 pm

Your welcome to come see. Send me a phone number and I’ll give you the address. You can stop by, and I’d be more than happy to greet you, and show you my window, and the forest outside. We live on a farm out in the country so I have 40 acres of forest visible outside my window.

  44. truth_faith

    Jan. 3/2007/4:39:01 pm

but according to you if i have people believe in me(lots of people ) then it is the truth

  45. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/4:39:20 pm

Well if you want to go beyond that, I can show you deeds in my parents’ names, and you could check the phone book as well.

  46. truth_faith

    Jan. 3/2007/4:40:15 pm

but that still contradict what you said earlier about people believing and then it is the truth

  47. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/4:41:30 pm

But they wouldn’t believe you when I showed them. So perhaps you should think about this in my definition of truth: I see things before I believe them. I never gave you my whole definition - you never asked for it.

  48. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/4:42:45 pm

No, no, that wasn’t the whole. Truth is not simple. There are technical vetoes and what not that change things.

  49. Lamp

    Jan. 3/2007/4:44:15 pm

Ok, since this topic is getting really confusing… Nothing can be proved. As mortals we will never know if we are right. Some MAY exist without our knowing, and just bcause we can see it, doesn’t mean it really there. So in conclusion, nohting can be proved, we can only convince other people that our opinion is right.

  50. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/4:44:35 pm

Like for example, if a ton of people tell me that Britain doesn’t exist, then I would probably consider that truth for the time being, but if I go to Britain and see it, I would veto what I had heard, and consider Britain truth.

    Jan. 3/2007/4:58:32 pm

You made good points (sorry - dinner). Truth is always changing, but what is there to live for if we don’t believe in something. And some truths don’t change. But some do as well. That’s where the individual has to decide what they believe - faith. But since you’ll never know, that makes no difference then, so truth is faith.

  61. truth_faith

truth is an opinion and you are entitled to your opinion and i respect your opinion but some people do not agree with your opinion and you have to live with it

  62. truth_faith

    Jan. 3/2007/5:02:28 pm

my identity is my own all i can tell you is i will know you when i see you but you will not know if you see me, i guess some truth are better left unknown

  63. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/5:03:28 pm

Sigh… here we go again. Truth is not an opinion. An opinion is a point of view. There is no perspective in truth - its fact - it’s objective. It’s there or it’s not, we just don’t know, and that doesn’t make it opinion, because it still doens’t have perspective.

  64. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/5:05:05 pm

What do you lose from telling me? It’s curiosity? Why is it best left unknown?

  65. truth_faith

    Jan. 3/2007/5:06:00 pm

well my perspective is that truth is an opinion that many people agree on and truth can change therefore its not truth truth is truth it can’t change some truth is right but most are opinion

  66. truth_faith

    Jan. 3/2007/5:07:57 pm

well i want to tell you my name then why did i make this user name, i should’ve just put my name as my user name if i want you to know

  67. miztrmason

    Jan. 3/2007/5:10:19 pm

Your perspective of truth doesn’t change what truth is. If I say the sky is orange, even though it’s blue, that doesn’t change it to orange. You are trying to change fact with your opinion - doesn’t work that way.

  68. miztrmason

The opposite of a correct statement is a false statement. But the opposite of a profound truth may well be another profound truth.

    who are you truth_faith?

We don’t know whether something is true or not (excepting we’ve seen it ourselves), so we can’t decide. The truth never changes, the only thing that changes is what we consider truth, and just because we consider something truth, that does not make it truth. Unfortunately for Truth_Faith here, he/she/it has yet to grasp that truth does not change, just because there may be more than one truth, it still will not change. And because Truth_Faith still won’t understand after this explanation, I will state it again: Truth doesn’t change, it’s just what we consider truth that changes, and just because we consider something true, that does not make it true. I have a lot better ways to spend my time than conversing and learning nothing, so this will be my last entry. I’m ashamed of myself for how much time I’ve wasted on this today.

All great truths begin as blasphemies.

    George Bernard Shaw (1856 - 1950)
    Irish playwright.

    Annajanska

    Errors, like Straws, upon the surface flow;
He who would search for Pearls must dive below.

    John Dryden (1631 - 1700)
English poet, playwright, and literary critic.

    “All for Love”

I wish you would read a little poetry sometimes. Your ignorance cramps my conversation.

    Anthony Hope (1863 - 1933)
    British novelist and playwright.

    The Dolly Dialogues

Ignorance is not innocence[ but [sin.

    Robert Browning (1812 - 1889)
    British poet.

    Aristophanes’ Apology, “The Inn Album”

    That’s all.

david, use common sense what you think is right, right now you think is the truth. But maybe next year someone else will find something that will change that truth. Then that means that it was the truth and then it changes.

truth is living and therefore changing

  118. miztrmason

    Jan. 5/2007/9:35:27 am

I decided to come back for your sake truth_faith.

The truth doesn’t change. In your example, the new evidence would prove that we “considered” truth was incorrect. Just because we “consider” something truth, that does not make it truth. Example:

We used to consider our solar system geocentric. New evidence then proved that it is was in fact photocentric. So we had “considered” our solar system as geocentric, but that was not the truth. It was photocentric.

The truth never changed there. It had always been photocentric. What changed was what we considered truth, geocentric to photocentric.

Truth does not live, it is abstract. It’s nonmaterial, and therefore nonliving.

Quit using examples!! Argh that’s getting annoying. The truth is the truth and can not change, it is a defined vaule. Now, we can never understand the truth, or try to comprehend it.

    Jan. 6/2007/12:48:34 pm

Well that example proves your point, so I’d be wanting that if I were you, but I’m not you so anyway…

We can try to comprehend the truth, but just because we aren’t successful in doing so doesn’t mean that we aren’t trying. I mean, for example (sorry, I know you hate examples, but it’s an easy way to prove points) is what we
