isLamp 1.1

Download the theme here, and view the demo site here.

After WPsnap.com reviewed isLamp 1.0, I realized that I should probably fix it up a bit and make it more compatible for more browsers. WPsnap modified two files and sent them to me, so I could update the theme. I made isLamp compatible in all browsers except IE, where it doesn’t put the sidebar where it is supposed to be, and Opera, where it doesn’t put a margin at the bottom between the footer and bottom navigation. Other that, it is compatible. Thanks to WPsnap, also.

Like before, the theme includes a options page (/wp-admin/themes.php?page=functions.php), where you can edit the paragraphs at the top, along with the headers, and your Twitter ID, showing your Twitter status.

To install, download the .zip, extract the folder islamp, and place it in your theme directory (wp-content/themes). Goto your presentation page, and activate.

Again, as with all themes, let me know if you have any problems installing, modifying, or using the theme. Thanks!

Please email c at aslamp.com for anything help, instead of leaving comments… I tend to forget to check those… =]

Hey! Great theme. Thanks a lot for putting your time and effort into giving something to the web. It works great on my site. I had to add a couple entries to the CSS for my flickr photo widget but after I figured that out it worked great. This is a really nice theme.

Did you add that “look what i can do” entry to teach people how to use that javascript combo you put it in there? If so that was brilliant I learned a lot. I have yet to make my own custom links for that effect but I will and through your code you taught me how. I’m not a very good web programmer (not one at all in fact) but I dabble and your theme has been very helpful in understanding how wordpress works and all.

    Thanks a lot,
    Colin

=] That was not intentional, I just couldn’t figure out what to put there, but I’m very glad that it taught you something! It means a lot to hear from people using my themes, Thank you!

No, not at all. It’s looking really good. =] I’m glad to see that you are getting the javascript toggle stuff down; it adds an awesome effect. The extra trees are a really nice touch too.

Hi! I really liked your theme. But I hope you don’t mind, I did a couple of modifications like the colors (actually the colors is the only thing I could modify as I know very little coding and any revisions done through coding correctly is only by pure chance ^^)hope you don’t mind.

That is the plugin that I’ve used in the past. It works quite nicely, assuming you host your own music. I’m sure there are others, such as one you would put on a myspace or what-not.

How didn’t the theme work for you? I just checked the link, and that works…

It’s working for me now @ 7:38. My only advice is keep trying it! =]

You might be able to find it somewhere else on the web if it still doesn’t work.

Hey there! Thnx for this theme…

I have a question refering IE error, precisely an error found in line 17.. do you know where is that error? (what file i mean) and what is it about? is there a fix for IE… although i’m using Firefox i would like to fix this IE issue.

    Cheers from Argentina!

I just wanna say that your modifications look really nice! Along with your(?) work that is on your site. =]

As far as the error goes, in my IE (7) I’m getting an error at line 153, but it won’t tell me what’s going on there or what it is… But that may just be IE crashing or something.

Is the error changing the appearance any? If not, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. The line 17 I’m looking at is null… Nothing there. But it could be concerned with the surrounding lines, one of which is a link tag that has something to do with RSD and XML…

Sorry I can’t be of more help, but if there is anything you can think of that I could attempt, please do not hesitate!

    Hello again!
Sorry for the [delay], but i couldn’t acces this web page from the Category menu since nothing is shown there.
Thanx for your comment about the modifications made and my works (still working on both of them) I appreciate it a lot!
Concerning the appearance, i have to say yes, it has a little error showing the content alignment when you browse the posts, they seem to be a little bit overpadded (don’t know about the existance of this term) to the right (All of this in IE, not Firefox or Safari). That was mainly the reason of the first post, since it was more a content display issue than everything else.
I’m gonna take a look to those surronding lines right away!

    Bye!

    Hey man,

Thank you so much for designing this layout and making it free for public use. As of just a few hours ago, I delved into the world of WordPress for the very first time and your theme has been helping me learn the ins and outs of the software. I cannot stress how much I appreciate your work.

Any how, I’ve been toying with the scripting but seem to be running into a few problems. Under “recent comments” at the bottom of the page, I keep running into an error on line 14 of bottom_index.php. Any idea how to fix that? Also, despite tweaking a few fields in style.css, I can’t seem to increase the width of the tables. I’d like to up the width to 700 px to help accommodate the search bar a bit better and provide more space for content.

Thanks again, and I look forward to hearing back from you.

Oh, and one last thing. How do I remove, “Pidgin in the Vista Sidebar?” It’s been driving me crazy.

    Thanks!

Nevermind. I found it. Go to Current Theme Options… Remove aslamp from the http://www.Twitter.com/ field. Then remove “loading… ” in the header.
